How to prepare for the upcoming GCE 2020 examination in Cameroon.
Preparing for a big exam like the Cameroon GCE examinations can be as well as cannot be an easy task to get about with, depending on how determined you actually are to make it in the GCE exams.
That is why my team and I, after carrying out interviews with students of different categories have put ford some tips to guide students of all categories that is the smart and the not so smart students (I avoid using “dull” students here because no one actually can be classified as dull, they just use the wrong approach in studying or some decide not to study because studying is booring) to help improve your grades or teach you how to read in a more funky and effective manner.
Bellow are some of the steps to guide you on how to prepare for the upcoming GCE 2019 examinations in Cameroon.

1. Find out about the format of the GCE examinations.
If you are writing the GCE examination for your first time; that is the ordinary level, or the advanced level for your first time, make sure to look through past GCE examination questions for the past five years, do not take papers older than 5 years, as the GCE examination board ubdate their standards after 2-5 years. Take a long observation at each of those papers and try to observe the format in which the questions are being asked, find out how the paper 2, and paper 3(if available) questions are being set on the GCE examination papers.
2. Set a personal reading plan.
The worst part about starting to read a book is when you start conflicting within your self the subject you want to read. Before even thinking of reading draw a perfect reading time table, which will not interfere with your daily activities or school hours.
i. Tips on drawing a perfect reading table.
a. Draw two reading time table, one during schools hours, that is if you have free period.
b. Your time tabke should not exceed more than 2 hours reading a single subject.
c. Your timetable should take breaks of equal time intervals of 5-10minutes.
3. Prepare your self before reading.
Before you start reading make sure your mind is clear enough to concentrate on you book you could do this by a short siesta and eating a balanced diet.
4. Know the objective of the topic.
Having an idea of what you want to read on a topic can speed up the rate at which the topic will be understood by you.
5. When reading.
When reading your aim is not to how to memorise a context, your main aim here is to understand the mechanism and how or why it happens as such.
The key phrase’s you feel like you should memories them do not! Instead understand how it works and make shorth summary’s using your own words.
Also make sure to continuously keep yourself hydrated you.
Take equal time intervals of break to relax or to take a walk, this helps in opening up your mind.
6. Answer other past GCE examination papers.
This is the most important part in preparing for the GCE examination in 2020 when you read you won’t be able to understand every thing at that point. But after solving about 5 or more past GCE examination question paper on the topic you’re just from reading.
If this tips are successful carried out on all your subjects then you should pass all these subjects with at least a B grade.
